Painting practice with thicker watercolors only this time (or perhaps they’re called gouache, I’ve always had a hard time try translate “peitevärit” from Finnish to English). I’ve noticed that they make very nice textures on their own if I make washes with them instead of painting thick layers.
Xenya and her hubby Hazael shopping for groceries. He’s certain those tomatoes were way overpriced.

It has not been a pleasant week for me. I thought to cheer myself up, I should remember the little things that made me happy and want to paint in the first place. I was truly a creature of sensation when I was young. I can still feel the different textures phantom on my fingertips.
Watercolor on Hot Press.
This is so cute and delicious at the same time *strokes siili and shiny lizard* <3
Tiny fan art painting I made based on this painting by bluealaris. <3
Sadly I didn’t use enough color, so the original picture came out rather pale. :x
Details from a recent personal work I made. I liked these cropped parts better than the actual work, I had a little trouble with composition and ended up with too much empty space.
Dimitri was following a trail of very dark poppies and collecting them in the field, when he suddenly found the source. A sad boy with a flaming hair, crown of horns and odd— shadows swaying around him.
Birthday card for the sweet Pettry, featuring her dinosaur loving girl from her thesis project. Happy birthday, Pettry, I hope you’ll have a lovely day and tasty tea! <3
Painted with fine and thicker watercolors, masking fluid and white gelpen on Canson Watercolor paper.
Beautiful birthday card for me made by Chernotrav ! I love how you hid the two little bloodsuckers into the field of flowers (uhh and that delicious night sky). Thank you so much! ;v;

Just a little painting for tir-ri for her birthday. Hope you had a really nice day!
These are tir-ri’s characters, Tricia and her dragon.
Aiiiiiiiiiiii, I almost cried—- I think I still might. This is so tender and touching, that poor big lizzard looks so sad and Tricia is comforting her scaly dark friend. TTuTT
Thank you so much, pettry! You make such pretty and emotional little things, perfect. ;v;
Guardian godling of the deep waters found herself a real sinking treasure, a golden prince. She’ll fix him up and take back with her to her underwater lair.
I usually paint one picture in a year of these two, but wanted to reverse the roles this time, so Wendy gets to safe her Atlas. :>
Painted with fine and thicker watercolors, masking fluid and white gelpen, Canson watercolorpaper 300g/m².

Atlas fighting the Lizzard, watercolor on Hot Press paper.
Christmas present for me! <333 I’ve been watching the painting progress through step-by-step pictures and those made seeing the final outcome even more exciting (next best thing when I can’t be there to see you paint). It’s gorgeous, Viva! ;o;
Golden fight, which Atlas won’t win, but at least he won’t be eaten. Just maybe chewed a little and then patched together.
